Fostering in the West Midlands

Fostering in the West Midlands

St Christopher’s foster carers have looked after children in the West Midlands since 2007. There is a real family feel to everything we do – we have a small team, so staff and foster carers quickly get to know each other.

We run regular drama and play sessions where young people can express their creative sides. At the end of the year we put on a live performance for everyone in our region to enjoy.

Training is continuous throughout your time as a foster carer. We recognise that you are professionals doing an important role, so we offer lots of opportunities for you to develop. Foster carers complete our bespoke social pedagogy training, which really sets St Christopher’s apart from other fostering agencies.

We need foster carers in the West Midlands

St Christopher’s is on the lookout for people who want to change a child’s life through fostering. We particularly need families who can look after teenagers and / or sibling groups of younger children.

When a group of siblings go into care, sometimes they cannot stay together because they have experienced too many difficult things together. However, they sometimes end up separated simply because there are no foster families with enough space to look after more than one child.

We want to change that – but we need your help. If you have one or more spare bedrooms then please enquire about fostering today.

St Christopher’s has been marvellous, being able to pop in for a chat and getting advice on other things to try. 100% support from all the team.
